Having learned about your company's needs and goals, we will analyze your current services from all angles: cost, capability, reliability, and redundancy. We will share this analysis with you, outlining your current services and costs and presenting recommended changes. This phase is very much a collaborative process, where our recommendations will necessarily change depending on your feedback.
We are experts at implementation
Once the path forward has been identified, we will negotiate best pricing and terms and conditions with the providers. We will then coordinate the installation process in conjunction with the carrier PMs to ensure an efficient implementation. Once implementation has completed, we will also review your initial carrier bills for accuracy and work with the carriers to correct any errors.
MANAGING PARTNERS
Doug Stephenson co-founded Vision Telecom in 2003 and brings more than 30 years of sales and management experience to his role leading business development, client engagements, and account management. With 28 years in telecom, Doug has the deep industry knowledge to provide trusted guidance to our clients and partners. Before founding Vision, he opened the Los Angeles office for Savvis Communications, selling data networking solutions to the financial sector, and worked at Qwest Communications selling data center and networking solutions to enterprise clients.
Doug attended the University of Delaware on a National Merit Scholarship, graduating with a BA in Psychology. He is married with one son and resides in sunny Sarasota, FL.
Dave McCready co-founded Vision Telecom in 2003, bringing extensive financial expertise built across a career in public accounting and financial services in New York City, and banking and telecom in Rhode Island.
At Vision Telecom, Dave works directly with our clients to analyze their telecom inventories and expenses, identify redundancies, and uncover savings opportunities. Clients appreciate his hands-on approach and accessibility — whether navigating a billing review, resolving a service issue, or guiding them through onboarding. Internally, he oversees revenue collection, commission analyses, and back-office management. Dave holds a BS in Accounting with a minor in Mathematics from Alfred University. He is married with two children and resides in Exeter, RI.
Rob Stephenson brings three decades of experience scaling datacenter, cloud, networking, and managed services firms to his role at Vision Telecom and sister company Vision Consulting. Over his career he has generated over $2 billion in shareholder liquidity across 30+ Private Equity transactions — experience that directly informs how we think about growth and value creation for our clients and partners.
Before joining Vision, Rob served as CEO of Thrive, growing it from $10M to $350M+ in revenue, and as CEO of Access Northeast prior to its sale to Xand in 2012. He holds a double bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Boston College's Carroll School of Management, where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. Rob recently completed Wharton's AI Leadership Program and will co-teach Sales at the College of Charleston in Fall 2026. He is married with six children and resides in Charleston, SC and Cape Cod.
